Frequently asked questions.
How do I start therapy with you?
You can begin by booking a free 15-minute consultation through my online scheduler. We’ll briefly discuss what you’re looking for and see if we’re a good fit. If we decide to move forward, I’ll send you the intake forms before our first session.
Do you offer in-person or online therapy?
Both! I offer secure, virtual therapy for anyone located in Texas, and I now have in-person openings on Fridays in Buda, Texas.
Who do you primarily work with?
I specialize in supporting caregivers and people in high-responsibility roles who feel burnt out, guilty, or isolated. I also work with adults of all ages navigating anxiety, depression, and challenges with boundaries. My practice includes individual, couple, and family sessions to help you manage the unique strain these roles place on your life and your relationships. Whether you are looking for a space to process your own experiences or need support navigating complex family dynamics, we will work together to help you move from surviving to actually living.
What is your therapeutic approach?
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, practical, and evidence-based. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), supported by strengths-based and relational perspectives. Our work focuses on helping you clarify your values and build the psychological flexibility needed to manage stress, anxiety, and burnout more effectively. Whether we are meeting for individual, couple, or family therapy, we use your existing strengths to increase resilience and create a life that feels aligned with what matters most to you.
Do you accept my insurance?
I currently accept Medicare, Aetna, Cigna, and several EAP and Health Benefit plans. If you have another insurance provider, I’m considered out-of-network. I can provide a superbill (a detailed invoice) that you may submit for possible reimbursement, depending on your plan.
Don't see your insurance provider? I am regularly adding new carriers to my list. Contact me to check your specific coverage.
Does insurance cover couples or family therapy?
Most insurance plans do not cover couples or family therapy because they do not consider relationship distress a medical necessity. To use insurance for these sessions, one person must be identified as the primary patient with a specific mental health diagnosis. We can discuss the implications of this during our first meeting to decide which payment path feels right for you.
